I myself have DMT1, so it’s interesting to know (and even to *learn*) that CF can also lead to CFRD. I remember several decades ago, when I first went to the hospital, a nurse explaining the difference between “terminal” and “chronic” to me. I wonder what it’s like to be told a condition is *terminal* … though of course life itself is also terminal. š
Becoming more and more aware of what mortality really means is fascinating to me. I think it’s odd, for example, that things like rocks or dirt or water or air (or many things) are not considered to be “on the page” of life or living or mortal in any way. We drink water, we breathe air, we are alive — but those things are *NOT*.
I guess it’s just complicated! š
